A Brief History of Scan Press:

• N.P. Nielsens Maskinfabrik (later Scan Press) was founded in Horsens in 1942.
• Upon N. P. Nielsens´s death in 1956, his son, Hans Nielsen took over the engineering works.
• 1958 the factory moved from Lille Nygade to a new industrial area in Horsens.
• 1969 Hugo Nielsen (son of Hans Nielsen) bought N.P. Nielsens Maksinfabrik.
• 1972 the company changed its name to Scan Press a/s.
• 1978 a partnership was formed with Rich. Müller A/S, Ballerup, when Rich. Müller bought 50% of shares in the company.
• 1980-81 Scan Press moved from Hattingvej to it´s the present address - Vejlevej 158.
• 1986 Scan Press took over Hede Nielsen´s industrial department and the two companies became merged.
• FLS Industries took over the entire Rich. Müller Group in 1988, making Scan Press part of the FLS Group.
  July 1994, three Horsens based companies, acquired Scan Press: Aage Østergaard A/S, B. Rustfrit Staal A/S and C.&K. Johansen Horsens ApS. The change in ownership would meant "membership" of the marketing network Steel Products Group Denmark. This amalgamated the Sales and Marketing activities of the four companies.
• August 1996 Hugo Nielsen resigned as Director after 28 years.The Board appointed Svend Gunnar Nielsen as Interim Director.
• December 1996 the present Managing Director Lars Ravn Nielsen was appointed.
• July 2000 Scan Press acquired a 45% share of Dansk Flydepresse Teknologi, herby called Scan Press DFT A/S, with premises at Vejlevej 158.
• January 2002 Scan Press DFT A/S took over the Danfoss Cold Forging department and moved production of Cold Forgings to Nordborg. The company changed it´s name to DFT-Dansk Flydepresse Teknologi A/S.
• January 2005 Scan Press a/s sold its shares in Scan Press DFT A/S.
• April 2005 - Aage Østergaard bought B. Rustfrit Stål A/S´ shares thereby raising their interest to 66%.
• Oktober 2005 - Aage Østergaard bought C&K Johansen Horsens ApS´ shares thereby raising their interest to 100%.
• 2006 -  Scan Press is expanding the present buildings with 3,370 m2.
• February 2007 - Managing Director Lars Ravn Nielsen at Scan Press, is appointed as Group Director at Aage Østergaard.
• Mai 2011 Jørn Korgager is appointed as Group Director at Aage Østergaard.
